Missionary History(1983-89)
| |
1983:
San
Jose, Costa Rica |
|
Language School
studies for 6 months enabled Lisa to get an excellent
grasp
ofthe Spanish language, a language she loves and
appreciates and had desired to learn since she
took her first Spanish class in 9th grade at 16
years of age.
| |
1983-1988:
Camp
Kikotén, Mexico City, Mexico |
|
Her first term
of service was only to last 3 years but it quickly
stretched into 5 years as her love for Latin America
grew and God clarified His call on her life as
a career missionary.
| |
1989:
Pittsburgh,
Pennsylvania, furlough |
|
This was a vital time to reconnect with family
and supporting churches. Unbeknownst to all of
us, Lisa’s mother would pass away the following
year
(Oct. 25, 1990), making the timing of this furlough
all the more opportune. |
