Need for Camp Sites To serve a population
of 5 million, 15% of whom are Evangelical Christians,
Honduras has approximately a dozen camp sites, none
of which offers its own annual program of camps. They
are all just rental facilities. So, not only is there
a scarcity of campsites, but there are few programs
being offered to the general population.
Christ gave the mission of saving the lost and teaching
them to do all that He commanded to the Church. Fountain
of Life Camp is a natural extension of a local body
of believers, the First Evangelical and Reformed Church
of San Pedro Sula. The Christian Education department
of the church views the Camp as its testing ground,
the arena where young people are given the opportunity
to explore and develop their gifts. The camp environment
provides the space to grow and the challenge to test
their wings in a variety of leadership dimensions.
The unique manner in which the First Evangelical and
Reformed Church uses Fountain of Life Camp to develop
leaders will serve as a model and inspiration to many
other churches and camp sites, thus addressing the
need in Honduras for a church whose members come in
the front door and don’t quickly slip out the
back
CCIAL/Honduras is partnering with the First Evangelical
and Reformed church to develop a model campsite of
interdenominational character to:
Reach
the young and old of Honduras with
the Good News of Jesus Christ
Train
local church leadership how to
use camping as an effective tool
Rise
a standard of excellence for new
and existing campsites in Honduras and
beyond
We
are committed to pursue this vision and we are

purpose of Fountain of Life Camp is to glorify
God by creating an ideal outdoor environment that
spurs campers and guests to grow in their relationships
with God, others, themselves and His creation.

the sending of work teams.
